In short: your audio stays on your phone. We keep only the text.

What we collect

• Audio, only after you tap record. It lives on your phone (and on your watch until it's sent to your phone). We upload it only to turn it into text, then delete it. We don't keep audio.
• Text: transcripts, key points, to-dos and follow-up drafts, stored on our servers so you can search them and move to a new phone.
• Account: a random device ID. If you use Sign in with Apple, we keep only the anonymous ID Apple gives us. No name, no email.
• Subscription: the transaction ID and expiry date from Apple. We never see your card.
• Usage and error counts, to improve the app.

We don't collect your phone number, email, contacts, location, photos or advertising ID.

What we don't do: we don't train AI on your recordings or text, sell your data, or show ads.

Who processes it: transcription and summaries run on Alibaba Cloud (speech recognition and the DeepSeek model) on servers in mainland China. If you use Tapwrap outside China, your audio and text are transferred to and processed in China. Providers process data only for us and don't keep or train on it.

How long: audio is deleted from our servers right after transcription. Text is kept until you delete it. Deleted data leaves our backups within 7 days.

Your choices: export any recording (audio, timestamped transcript, summary) at any time. Delete one recording, or everything in Settings › Delete all my data. Cancel your subscription in iOS Settings. Questions: huaxiaoman2026@163.com.

Recording others: tell people before you record. In some places everyone must agree to be recorded.

Children: not for children under 13.
